Lately, it seems the grocery store stock is so unpredictable -- have you noticed it too? Frozen fruit is sometimes completely gone, or I can only find mixed fruit blends or odd fruits I don't typically use. This Mixed Frozen Fruit Smoothie is adaptable to whatever you can find, and this post includes tips to help you adjust your smoothie to whatever is available!

Truth bomb: I used to HATE smoothies, and so did my partner. Why drink a sugar bomb that left me hungry after an hour when I could just eat fruit?
It took the addition of greens, nut butter, and a few other super foods to find a winning combination that I can't stop guzzling! I like smoothies for breakfast throughout the year, but I especially enjoy them for lunch on hot summer days.
This Mixed Frozen Fruit Smoothie is so easy and bursting with fruity flavor!

- Total Time: 5 minutes
- Yield: 1 serving 1x
- Category: Beverages
- Method: Blender
- Cuisine: American
- Diet: Vegan
Ingredients
1 ¼ cup frozen fruit blend (must include either mango or banana for creaminess, or you can add avocado -- see notes)
⅓ cup coconut yogurt
2 Tablespoons hemp seed (or ground flax)
½ cup plant-based milk (I used almond milk)
¼ cup coconut water
1 large handful of spinach
1 Tablespoon almond butter
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth. Enjoy!
Notes
- For a creamy smoothie, always include banana, mango, or avocado in the mix! If the fruit blend does not include these, I always add ¼ of a medium avocado.
- Coconut yogurt tastes really nice in this smoothie combination. If you don't have any, be sure to check out the recipes for our other fruit and green smoothies.
- Any nut or seed butter can be substituted for almond butter.

This is great! I always buy mixed frozen fruit instead of individual fruits. I love how easy this smoothie was and it was super tasty.
